Courier Dispatch Manifest Guide: Prove Handover & Win Lost Claims
LabelCropTools product documentation · Updated
Packages lost between seller warehouse pickup and the first courier hub scan are a leading source of e-commerce seller losses. Without a signed, dated handover manifest listing every AWB number, marketplaces regularly reject compensation claims.
Why a signed manifest is legally required for seller claims
When courier pickup executives collect 30 to 100 packages, they do not scan every package on the spot. If a parcel is misplaced before reaching the hub, the tracking status remains un-picked.
An official Courier Handover Manifest signed by the pickup executive acts as legal proof of physical custody transfer.
Separate manifests per logistics partner
Never combine multiple couriers onto a single signature sheet. Delhivery drivers should only sign for Delhivery AWBs, and Shadowfax drivers should only sign for Shadowfax packages.
LabelMaster automatically categorizes tracking numbers by courier partner and prints separate dedicated handover sheets.
Retain signed manifests for at least 90 days
Keep physical signed copies organized by date in your warehouse dispatch register. If a customer or marketplace raises a non-delivery or lost inventory dispute weeks later, your signed sheet provides immediate proof.
