Sort Shipping Labels by SKU Without Losing Orders

LabelCropTools product documentation · Updated

Sorting puts related packing work next to each other, but it also changes a label's position in the PDF. Use the actual order or tracking identifier to match a parcel after sorting. A page number from the unsorted batch is no longer a reliable identifier.

Choose SKU order or duplicate grouping deliberately

SKU sorting orders labels by their readable product field. Duplicate SKU grouping keeps matching values together while preserving the first-seen group order. Neither option removes the extra orders in a group; two customers buying the same item still need two complete labels.

If a marketplace field includes size or colour inside its SKU text, those characters remain part of the value used for grouping. LabelCropTools does not invent missing variants or reconcile a SKU against your inventory catalogue.

Keep unmatched carriers visible

Courier sorting depends on a readable carrier name. When a PDF contains a graphic logo or unfamiliar spelling, the carrier may not be detected. On Meesho, the delivery-partner filter can keep the unmatched category so those orders do not disappear from your review.

Combine courier and SKU ordering only when it matches how your team hands over parcels. Check the selected label count against the dispatch source before printing a filtered batch.

Use selectable text for reliable field detection

A downloaded digital PDF is generally a better source than a screenshot or scan. A page can look perfectly readable to a person while containing no extractable SKU or carrier text. In that case, preserve original order and inspect fields manually.

The printable barcode graphics are kept from the source. Detecting the printed SKU text is a separate operation; a working barcode does not prove that the SKU parser has found the right field.

Reconcile the finished batch

Before download, note which filters are active. After processing, check the resulting label count, compare full order identifiers and confirm that repeat SKUs still have separate labels. Use the ZIP option if individual order PDFs make review easier.

Keep an operational record of what has been packed and printed. A PDF utility cannot determine whether a repeated label represents a new order, an accidental duplicate download or a reprint request.
